Meet Our GLOW Coach: Ashleigh Pomerant

We’re so excited to introduce Ashleigh Pomerant, one of the inspiring young leaders behind our GLOW Up Your Coaching workshops!

Ashleigh brings a powerful blend of lived experience and academic insight to her work. A lifelong athlete, she has competed in both ringette and field hockey at recreational and competitive levels—giving her firsthand experience of what it means to be coached, supported, and challenged through sport.

Her passion didn’t stop on the field. Ashleigh has grown into leadership roles as a junior coach, assistant coach, and head coach, working directly with young athletes and seeing the impact of positive coaching in action.

Ashleigh recently graduated from the University of Ottawa with an Honours Bachelor of Social Sciences in International Development & Globalization, where she focused her research on sport-for-development and girls’ empowerment.

Through GLOW, Ashleigh combines her experience as both an athlete and a coach with her academic background to help others create supportive, confidence-building environments for girls in sport.

We’re proud to have her helping lead the next generation of coaches.
