About GLOW

The GLOW program was created to give every girl an opportunity to be strong, confident and healthy. The purpose of GLOW is to unite girls in a school/organization and provide them with the opportunity to be agents of change. The program inspires girls of all ethnic, socio-economic and cultural backgrounds to be prominent, positive leaders.

The GLOW program is designed for girls aged 7-14 and can be offered as a lunch time, after school or as an evening program.

Each session includes a GLOW Circle time to promote age appropriate conversations, facilitated by a GLOW Leader, focused on one of eight themes. Learning how to set and work toward personal goals is an important part of each session and enhances the development of good leadership skills. A nutritional snack is provided, before the girls participate in the fitness portion of each class. The fitness activity is led by a variety of female guests who are passionate about a particular fitness activity. Please note: If time for the GLOW program is limited, for instance, a lunch hour program, the fitness portion is optional.

All of our GLOW Leaders participate in training. This training is based on our easy to follow GLOW Guides, specifically designed to provide professionals with all the information they need to offer the GLOW program in a school or community. Each GLOW Leader receives a GLOW Facilitation Training certificate at the end of our GLOW training session.
